Open Arms provides mental health and wellbeing support to:

  • anyone who has served at least one day of continuous fulltime service in the ADF, as well as their immediate families, and

  • Reservists who have rendered border protection or disaster relief service, or been involved in or witnessed a serious training accident, as well as their immediate families.

MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS

(South Australia only)

The SA Health Mental Health Triage Service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


This service:

  • is the main point of access to state funded mental health services

  • can provide advice and information in a mental health emergency or crisis situation

  • is staffed by mental health clinicians

  • will assess and refer to acute response teams where appropriate.

10 am – 8 pm (AEDT/AEST)


This is not a mental health 'phone call' service for counselling.


SANE is the leading national mental health organisation for people with complex mental health issues in Australia and for the families and friends that support them.
