CHOOSING A CLOWN NOSE

There are many different clown noses available to buy around the world. Everything varies based on the following considerations:
Appearance
What colour is it?
Does it have a matte or a glossy finish?
Does it have glitter?
What size is it?
What shape is it: round, oblong, pointed?
Would it fit your size nose?
Performance, Persona and Personality
What type of clown act, if any, do you want to do: very physical or comparably stationery?
What type of persona and personality do you want you clown to have?
Will your clown be sad: get a big nose.
Will your clown be happy: get a bigger nose!
Comfortability
Is it comfortable enough that you can wear for long periods?
Wearability
How does it stay on your face?
Is there a string?
Does it stick by itself?
Does it need adhesive or putty to secure it?
Will it fall off with movement?
Will it come off in the heat or from your sweat?
Cleanability
How do you clean it?
How easily can you clean it?
Durability
How long will it last?
How often would you need to buy a replacement?
Cost
Is a good one worth that much money?
Is a cheap one worth the hassle?
Is there a halfway point?
Will you even wear the nose often enough for any of the above to matter?

OUR RECOMMENDATION
You as a purchaser and a wearer of your future clown nose can straight up choose the cheapest nose. But if you're wanting to give clowning a good go, choosing a funny nose is serious business.
Costs fluctuate and postage varies from location to location. What we will recommend is quality to either choose to buy or choose to compare it as a bar-setter while looking into other, cheaper options.
"The Red Nose Factory" operates in the US.
Their noses are handmade.
They are string-less.
They don't 'stick'.
They don't require adhesive.
Their noses hook comfortably into your nostrils, which make them genuinely difficult to come off during performance, but slip off easily when done intentionally.
*D.M.W. Productions Australia is not associated whatsoever with The Red Nose Factory. This is a genuine recommendation having experienced their products.
The company sells several different sizes and shapes of clown noses, and has a several colours to choose from. They can even add glitter with a matte or glossy finish.
For Australia, they are expensive, but handmade is handmade. Quality is quality. But it's your call.
